During our weekly enrichment visit to Kirkley Hall, pupils looked in the 'Walk of Life' which has a large variety of different animals, such as monkeys, snakes, lizards, beetles and armadillos. As we had a new pupil attending, they selected a lizard (Jango) to take into the discovery room where zookeeper Jacob gave us more information about this species of lizard, and pupils where allowed to hold Jango. The discovery room has a variety of other reptiles such as frogs, thorny stick insects, beetles, giant millipedes, bearded dragons, and snakes. Pupils were allowed to look in all of the tanks and ask any questions that they had about each animal, alongside being allowed to handle a royal python and a bearded dragon. We also got to see a snake skin that had been recently shed off one of the pythons.
