Outdoor learning projects at NBS Kenton

Class 5 from last year and this year have been building a shed using pallets and other reclaimed materials.  The roof is on and the outside virtually complete, so it's almost watertight (only two big holes that I know about).   Those students attending school during this lockdown are making great progress at lining the inside.  Leon, Ben and Kyle have been working hard at breaking up the pallets to keep Alisha and Aspen supplied with timber.  A special mention has to go to the motivators:  Mrs Senior, Mrs Edwards and Ms Moore.  They have been so enthusiastic it has been a real pleasure to work alongside them.  When the shed is complete we'll have a lovely view of the bird feeders and pond.  Then we'll have to start rewilding the area.

The outdoor learning key stage 4 option group have also been digging a pond.  This is ready for lining and filling, which should happen in the very near future.   Hopefully in time for the toads, frogs and newts to come and lay eggs.
